Gurdwara Sacha Sauda is situated at a distance of 37 miles from Lahore on the Lahore-Lyallpur Railway Line. This magnificent Gurdwara is built on the spot where the 18 years old Guru Nanak Dev fed some starving Sadhus with the money (a sum of Rs. 20) given by his father Mehta Kalu to him for some business activity. On his return, he described his action in front of his annoyed father as the sachcha sauda (the truest of bargains) because he invested that amount on a good deed which is now known as Langar. Gurdwara Sachcha Sauda was constructed in memory of Guru Nanak's kindness which in due course became a popular Sikh site attracting visitors from all corners of the world. This was the foundation of Guru ka Langar which inspired the whole Sikh community to spread kindness and serve those who need it the most.
