Description
Lodhran is located on the northern side of river Satluj. On its north are the districts of Multan, Khanewal and Vehari while Bahawalpur is on its southern side. On the east lie the districts of Vehari and Bahawalpur; while district Multan lies on the western side. Qutabpur, Gogran, Dhanot, Rajapur, Dakhano Gharo, Choki Masti Khan, Borhanpur, Amirpur Sadat, Fatehpur, Makhdoom Ali and Jalla Arain are the main towns of district Lodhran. The climate of the district is hot and dry in summer and cold in winter.The maximum and minimum temperature ranges between 42C and 28Cin summer. During winter, the temperature fluctuates between 21Cand 5C. The entire district is smooth plain. The sub-soil water in Dunyapur subdivisionis brackish, while that in Kahror Pakka and Lodhran sub-divisions is sweet. The average rainfall in the district is 71mm
